This article is about Brooke's home between seasons five and nine. For her home in the first two seasons, see the Davis residence.

4915 Ocean Avenue, also known as the Davis beach house, the second Davis residence, and later as the Baker residence, was a three-story house located near the beach in Tree Hill, North Carolina. First appearing at the beginning of the fifth season, it was purchased by Brooke Davis as a home for her and her best friend, Peyton Sawyer, after they moved back to town. Over the course of the series, this house also served as a temporary residence for Rachel Gatina, as well as Brooke's foster daughters: Angie in season five and Sam Walker in season six.

Sometime during the fourteen months between seasons six and seven, this house became the home of Brooke's boyfriend and eventual husband, Julian Baker. They continued to reside here after their marriage and the birth of their twin sons, Davis and Jude Baker, in the following season through the end of the ninth season. After the purchase of Brooke's childhood home in the series finale, however, it is unknown whether Brooke and Julian decided to sell this house or keep it as a vacation home.

After making the decision to leave her life in New York behind, Brooke Davis purchases the house at 4915 Ocean Avenue, paying the owner $30,000 more than her original asking price on the condition of leaving behind her furniture. Moving in alongside best friend Peyton Sawyer, Brooke is soon visited by her mother, Victoria Davis. Despite her mother's attempts to coerce her into returning to New York, Brooke refuses to leave and proceeds to open a Clothes Over Bro's store in Tree Hill. During the fifth season, Brooke would also allow Rachel Gatina to move in temporarily during her attempt to become sober. After Rachel's departure, Brooke would later become a short-term foster mother to Angie, who was in need of surgery for her heart condition. Angie would return home to her family in the season five finale.

In the season six premiere, Peyton moves out upon becoming engaged to Lucas Scott and Brooke lives in the house alone while recovering from her assault. Later in the season, the house becomes home to Brooke's second foster daughter, Sam Walker. After the realization that she was responsible for Brooke's assault, Sam runs away and temporarily lives with her friend Jack Daniels, whose older brother Xavier was behind the assault. After being rescued from Xavier by Brooke, Sam returns to live with Brooke until reuniting with her biological mother.

After the year-and-a-half time-jump in season seven, as Brooke and Julian Baker struggle to maintain a long-distance relationship, she mainly lives in the house by herself. With their marriage in the eighth season, however, Julian moves in permanently and the house soon becomes home to their twin sons, Davis and Jude Baker. While Brooke and Julian maintain their residence in the house for the majority of season nine, they and their children move into Brooke's childhood home in the series finale. Whether or not they retained ownership of the house remains uncertain, though it is possible that Brooke and Julian decided to keep the house as a beach house.

Rooms[]

Living room[]

The centerpiece of the main floor, the house's living room was accessed by the front door and featured an open floorplan with direct eyesight to the kitchen and dining room. Access to the two main floor bedrooms and primary bathroom were located through a hallway by the staircase in the living room. Featuring a corner fireplace and several windows that offered waterfront views of the marina, the living room was painted with dark cream walls, with an accent floral wallpaper over the staircase.

The living room featured a sofa facing the fireplace, a side table and lamp, a coffee table, and a flatscreen television mounted above the fireplace. None of the furniture originally belonged by Brooke but came with the purchase of the house in season five when she offered the original owner an additional $30,000 if she left it furnished. After Julian moved into the house in season seven, the living room noticeably featured a poster of his film, Seven Dreams Til Tuesday. It was in this room that Brooke and Julian shared their first kiss.

Kitchen[]

With clear eyesight of the living and dining rooms, the kitchen was a primary fixture of the main floor. Featuring dark wooden cabinetry and marble countertops, the kitchen was equipped with stainless steel appliances, with a noticeboard on the refrigerator that had photos of Brooke's family friends (notably of Peyton Sawyer, Sam Walker, and members of the Scott family). It is unknown how often the kitchen was actually utilized due to Brooke's disinterest in cooking, as was made clear when she accidentally burned the Thanksgiving turkey in season eight.

Primary bedroom[]

Located on the main floor, the primary bedroom was the largest bedroom in the house and featured tall ceilings. Echoing the decor of the rest of the house, Brooke's bedroom was decorated with neutral colors, including green walls and hardwood floors in earlier seasons. Between seasons five and eight, it contained a king-sized mattress on a wooden bedframe that was low to the ground, though by season nine, this had been replaced with a metal bedframe that went with the room's new cream-colored walls.

The primary bedroom also featured nightstands on either side of the bed, a dresser, and two beige accent chairs, though the chairs were also later replaced with a large sofa chair after the birth of Davis and Jude. Brooke was known to relax here on several occasions, most notably after the birth of her twin sons, when she and Julian laid on the bed with their newborn boys. Brooke kept a photo album in this room and, after her marriage and the birth of their sons, it was decorated with family photos.

Angie[]

When Brooke began fostering Angie in season five, she went on a shopping spree to buy things for the baby girl. However, most of the things she purchased were not conducive to taking care of an infant, so she had to borrow some of Jamie Scott's old nursery furniture from Nathan and Haley, including his old crib. These were placed in Brooke's primary bedroom instead of the guest room, as Peyton was still living in the house at the time.

Guest bedroom[]

Season 5: Peyton Sawyer[]

The house's guest bedroom, also located on the main floor, was located across the hall from the primary bedroom. After moving back to Tree Hill at the beginning of season five, this room was occupied by Brooke's best friend, Peyton Sawyer. Decorated in a similar fashion to her childhood bedroom at her old house, Peyton's bedroom walls were painted red and featured posters of several music artists, including Mia Catalano.

Season 6: Samantha Walker[]

After Peyton moved out at the beginning of season six to live with Lucas Scott at his house, her old bedroom in Brooke's beach house remained vacant for a time. When Brooke began fostering Samantha "Sam" Walker, however, Sam took up residence in this room. While she was grateful toward Brooke for taking her in, Sam would often sneak out of the house, leading to an incident where Brooke locked her in her bedroom after stealing Brooke's license. During Sam's residence in the house, her best friend, Jack Daniels, would often secretly sleep over here on the floor in order to get away from his abusive older brother, Xavier Daniels.

Seasons 8–9: Davis and Jude Baker[]

When Brooke and her husband Julian intended to adopt Chloe Hall's child in season eight, they redecorated Peyton's old bedroom and converted it into a nursery. When Chloe changed her mind and the adoption fell through, however, the couple converted it back into a regular guest room. With the news that Brooke was pregnant, they again turned the room into a nursery due to its proximity to the primary bedroom. As they were expecting twins, the new nursery featured two cribs and was painted a neutral green walls with yellow accents. The room's furniture was dark brown wood, as the couple did not know the gender of the babies. After twins Davis and Jude Baker's births, the room was repainted again in season nine, this time with blue walls.

Other guests[]

During its time as a guest room, this room played host to a few other characters in the series. Jamie Scott, Brooke's godson, would often sleep over in this room when he stayed with his "Aunt" Brooke, while Haley James Scott stayed here prior to Brooke and Julian's wedding. Julian's mother, Sylvia Baker, also stayed here briefly after the birth of her grandsons, Davis and Jude.

Main bathroom[]

B H bathroom

The house featured one bathroom on the main floor. Situated between the primary bedroom and the guest room, the bathroom was quite small, though it did feature a large soaker tub. It was in this room that Julian first told Brooke that he loved her as she hid away in the bathroom.

Unseen rooms[]

With an additional two floors above the main floor, Brooke's house on Ocean Avenue was known to feature many rooms upstairs. While characters would often be seen coming downstairs, none of the upper floors were ever depicted in the series, though it can be assumed many of them were extra bedrooms and additional bathrooms. During Rachel Gatina's temporary residence in the house during season five, her room was never shown on-screen, though it was presumably located upstairs as Peyton occupied the main floor guest room at that time.

Exterior[]

Rooftop balcony[]

Located on the top floor of the house's exterior, a wrapping balcony overlooked the marina. While it was not particularly large, it was sizeable enough to fit two chairs on which residents would often sit to watch the sunset. It also featured a stairwell with access to the marina below.

Garage[]

Baker's garage

The house was known to feature a garage on its ground floor. Offering covered parking for the house's residents, the garage notably housed Brooke and Julian's vehicles in later seasons. After Davis's hospitalization, Julian locked himself in the garage with the heater on to feel how his son felt when he accidentally left him alone in the car.

Terrace[]

Surrounded by a white railing, the house's terrace was located below the balcony and featured waterfront views of the marina. The terrace also featured a secondary entrance to the house, which was overlooked by the primary bedroom.
