Anna Rebecca Sawyer was the late wife of Larry Sawyer and the adoptive mother of their daughter, Peyton Sawyer. An unseen character, she died in a car accident after running a red light when she was driving to pick her daughter up from school. Her death would have a profound impact on both her husband and daughter, though it eventually brought them closer together.
Peyton would often visit her mother's grave in Tree Hill's local Tree Hill cemetery.
