Brooke, Peyton and Haley, also known by their portmanteau Breyley, are a relationship on One Tree Hill, portrayed respectively by Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz.
History[]
Season 1[]
Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer are best friends since childhood. Haley James is the intelligent and simple-minded best friend of Lucas Scott. Lucas's half-brother Nathan hated him and used Haley to annoy him. Haley and Nathan eventually fell in love. Haley formed a friendship with Nathan's ex-girlfriend, Peyton Sawyer who helped Haley with her feelings for Nathan. Through Peyton, Haley also became friends with Brooke Davis, Peyton's best friend. Brooke and Peyton are the school's prettiest and most popular girls. Haley starts spending time with them and they form a group.
Season 2[]
After the wedding of Nathan and Haley, Brooke and Peyton throw Haley a post-wedding bachelorette party. Brooke and Peyton start spending time with Haley individually. Haley gets an opportunity to go on a music tour, which she does which angers Nathan and Peyton. Brooke and Lucas persuade Haley to come back but she refuses. Nathan has an accident which forces Haley to come back but is shocked to see Nathan's rude behaviour towards her. Nathan and Haley's relationship becomes strained.
Season 3[]
Haley did everything in order to win back the heart of Nathan, and she even managed to fix things with Brooke, but not with Peyton, who was very close to Nathan instead. She still failed to forgive her, seeing how much Nathan suffered in her absence. Peyton and Haley are far apart, but at the same time, Haley is getting closer to Brooke and her two best friends, Peyton in the meantime, forgives Haley, and the two can relinquish their relationship, though not as at the beginning. Haley decides to name Brooke and Peyton as her bridesmaids for her second marriage to Nathan.
Season 4[]
On their way to Raleigh for the state championship game, Brooke and Peyton, along with Bevin and Rachel, rush Haley to a hospital when she begins to feel pain related to her pregnancy.
Brooke, Haley and Peyton join Lucas, Nathan and Skills on a trip from Tree Hill to Honey Grove, Texas to rescue Mouth, who has been thrown in the local jail after an impromptu road trip with Rachel goes awry.
Season 5[]
Following their return to Tree Hill (Peyton from Los Angeles, Brooke from New York), Haley is happily surprised by the return of her old friends, who are also visiting the injured Nathan, still in a wheelchair. She introduces them to Jamie.
During a Tree Hill Ravens basketball game, Haley, Brooke and Peyton are locked in the library with Lindsey and Mia, and later Tim Smith. Haley attempts to broker peace between Lindsey and Peyton, who feud over Lucas after his engagement to Lindsey.
