Template:Character1940Dan Scott is the owner of the Comet Club, a rival to Lucas Scott's Karen's Cafe. He isn't opposed to using unlawful methods to further his business such as bribery and abuse. Many residents of Tree Hill suspect him of murdering his brother, Keith something Mouth died trying to prove. He also raised Peyton Sawyer as his surrogate daughter after her mother's passing.
