Eric was the father of the baby that Brooke and Julian Baker were going to adopt. Before the adoption went through, however, Eric decided to reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe Hall, and raise their daughter in Tree Hill.

Eric dated Chloe Hall who he impregnated. But when Chloe announced her pregnancy to Eric he decided to break up with her. So Chloe decided to put her unborn child up for adoption and decided to give the baby to Brooke and Julian Baker.
Season 8[]
During Chloe's labor, Eric went to the hospital and met Julian Baker (the supposed adoptive father of Eric's baby). Eric decided to stay with Chloe and their baby. Chloe gave birth to a daughter and they kept her. It devastated Brooke until she fell pregnant herself.

In University Eric dated Chloe. During their relationship, Eric impregnated Chloe. Afraid, Eric broke up with her. Chloe was going to give their child up for adoption but Eric came to the hospital while Chloe was in labor. Eric and Chloe decided to raise their newborn daughter together.
Trivia[]
- During her pregnancy Chloe told Brooke that the child's father (Eric) was in prison. But she added that it was a joke.
