Neyton is the ship name of Nathan Scott and Peyton Sawyer.
During their first two years of high school, Nathan, the basketball star, entered a romance with the lonely cheerleader, Peyton. They had a very argumentative relationship that often had them breaking up and then reuniting with each other several times each week. Nathan showed little interest in Peyton and only liked her for sex. Eventually, Peyton had enough of Nathan and his behavior and ended their relationship. After Nathan and Peyton broke up, they became great friends.

Season 1[]
During their first two years of high school, Nathan, the basketball star, entered a romance with the lonely cheerleader, Peyton Sawyer. They mostly had sex during their relationship. Peyton broke up with Nathan early in season one in the episode "Crash Into You".
Season 2[]
Peyton decided to throw a fundraiser for Nathan after his car accident. The two have heartfelt conversation about how Brooke and Lucas have been annoying them. Nathan and Peyton also comfort another about their relationships in What Could Have Been. In the second part of the season finale, The Leavers Dance, Peyton helps Nathan to move out and while doing so they have a playful flirty exchange when Nathan pulls Peyton on his lap and starts tickling her.
Season 3[]
Nathan and Peyton grow closer as they are both upset with Haley. Peyton even suggested choosing Nathan for the Fantasy boy draft if he was uncomfortable being paired with Haley. Then, he helped her when her car broke down like in the first season when she met Lucas for the first time because at that time Nathan didn't come to help her, but this time did it because he's matured a lot since then.
Season 4[]
In the episode Pictures of You Peyton gets paired with Nathan and he reveals to her that during the summer they first started dating he went to the weights room of Tree Hill High every day to lift weights and everytime he benched 10 pounds more he carved Peyton's initials "PS" into the bench press. However, they both agree they were horrible together. Peyton tells him that she broke her knuckle once because she punched a wall in anger after one of her and Nathan's many break ups. Peyton explains to Nathan she's proud of the man he has became but wants to put himself first sometimes, underlining she knows he's gonna be a great father. The two remark how much it means their friendship to both of them.
Season 5[]
Peyton helps Nathan with Brooke to recover from his depression after his injury and is also very rude with him to make him aware of the damages he's doing to his family and how much he's hurting Haley and Jamie with his nasty and out of control behaviour.
Season 6[]
Nathan and Peyton are now part of the same family due to her engagement with Lucas and Jamie becomes her nephew to all effects as seen in A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene and he is Lucas' best man at his and Peyton's wedding.
Trivia[]
- After Nathan and Peyton's break up they became really good friends. They often reminisce about their relationship and Nathan often said that they were good together. Peyton would always counter this by saying that they were horrible together or that they just had a lot of sex. Nathan would then agree with her and the pair would laugh about it, but they really valued the friendship born between them.
