Larry Sawyer was the adoptive father of Peyton Sawyer Scott who raised her alone after the death of his wife Anna. He was often away because of his work but he and Peyton maintain a close relationship and talked frequently. He was very over-protective of his daughter and, to an extent, her best friend, Brooke Davis as well.
