Wiki
This article is part of
One Tree Hill Wiki Help.

One Tree Hill Wiki, as a whole, does not accept spoilers in its content. This is an article we advise all users to read as we don't want the content of future episodes being spoiled for users who want to be surprised when they sit down on a Monday night. This article will outline what this Wikia considered to be a spoiler and why we do not want spoilers on this site. Persistent spoiling can lead to a temporary or permanent ban.

The One Tree Hill Wiki Spoiler Policy was amended on: 16 January, 2010

What Is And Isn't A Spoiler[]

A spoiler is anything that gives away the future plot details of episodes still to be aired on the CW. The following are a list of acceptable sources for your edits

  • Episodes previously aired on the CW, the American network. Any episode aired on this network in America may he used as a source for information for your edits. As soon as an episode airs, you are free to write up as much as you can only the wiki (the more, the better)
  • In order to give users who dislike spoilers in any way, shape or form, we only use the namea of the episode officially released by the CW via episodic press releases.
  • We can also reveal actors who are to appear in upcoming episodes on this Wikia, as long as the actor’s presence doesn't spoil details of the plot. For example, leading up to Season 7 this Wikia created pages for Robert Buckley and Shantel VanSanten revealing they would be in the next season, but didn't reveal which characters they were playing. We leave the decision as to whether an actor should be discussed on the wikia up to the discretion of the user, but if in doubt contact an admin.

Information from other sources including, but not limited to, Spoilerfix, SpoilerTV, Entertainment Weekly's Ask Ausiello, E!Online's Watch with Kristin, TV Guide's Mega Minute with Matt Mitovich, Entertainment Tonight and interviews with cast or crew are not allowed on this wiki.

Why We Don't Spoil[]

We have several reasons not to feature spoilers on this Wiki

  • As mentioned above, not all users like spoilers and we'd rather make everyone happy than just a few. There are other forums available where you can discuss spoilers such as othforums
  • We also respect all the hard work that Mark Schwahn, the creative forces behind the series, the cast, crew and just about everyone else associated with the series put into making a good show - and we wouldn't want their work to be in vain. After all, there's nothing worse than a cliff-hanger that everyone knows about is there.

A Note To International Users[]

This wikia keeps up to date with American airdates and, as such, we ask users from other countries to be very careful regarding what they read if they don't want the show to be spoiled.
