Shari Smith was the step-mother of Tim Smith who attended Tree Hill High School with Karen Roe and Dan Scott. Karen later encountered her after Lucas joined the Ravens and discovered she was still as preoccupied with popularity and elitism as she was in her high school years.
Character History[]
Season 1[]
Shari was introduced as a mother from the school who invited Karen to join the boosters, but told her it was the wrong time for the meeting, Shari did this to make her look bad in front of the other boosters.
Season 2[]
Although Shari wasn't visually seen in Season 2 she was the subject of Nathan's Bachelor Party when Tim put on a sex tape of Shari.
Season 4[]
Shari mocked Karen when she showed up with Dan Scott to the Basketball Awards ceremony, by pointing out the fact that she was also pregnant, insinuating that it was just like high school. Dan, however, defended Karen by saying that Tim was no-longer on the basketball team and had moved to a "special" school.
