Tree Hill Community College is a public community college or university located in Tree Hill, North Carolina. As the main institution of higher learning in New Brunswick County, several of its students were from local schools, such as Tree Hill High School.

During its appearance in the second season, the college was attended by Karen Roe, who enrolled in business courses as a means of expanding Karen's Café. During her time at the college, Karen used one of her assignments as inspiration to open the nightclub TRIC and began a relationship with her professor, Andy Hargrove.

• The name "Tree Hill Community College" does not appear in the series, but is an appellation used by fans. While it is believed to be a local community college, a conversation between Deb and Haley during season one indicates that it might have actually been a university.
• Interestingly, scenes at Tree Hill High School were filmed on the campus of Wilmington, North Carolina's actual community college, Cape Fear Community College. As such, scenes at Tree Hill Community College were filmed on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
